REVIEW: X-Men - Days Of Future Past

I remember when I was younger the only thing I wanted to do was eat chicken wings & watch cartoons at my gran's house. Not only did she look after me, but she taught me everything I know about Manchester United, Lemon Meringue & Steven Seagal, all things entertainment of course. All I remember about those days before I started school, was the wafting smells of Robertson's Chicken Spice and the theme music to Animaniacs, Biker Mice From Mars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & X-Men... But this X-Men...

To see childhood heroes come "back to life" on the big screen is a nostalgic feeling I really enjoy. And especially, when it's done right! (Or has Hugh Jackman topless 89.5% of the time.) In recent years Marvel has really upped their game, with the development of their Cinematic Universe they have really pushed the limits of what entertainment has to offer, a whole new world for the imagination.

I won't delve too deeply into the movie and ruin it with spoilers for my friends who still need to see it, but be aware: this movie is great... ok, amazing... Mmm... Marvelous... No pun intended!
In this installment The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.

The film moves along at a steady pace incorporating cast from all previous movies and managing to tell a story with very little actual story-line. As ever make sure to stay till after the credits have rolled :) and don't bother with 3-D , it's brilliant, but save it for Transformers...
